Clinres farmacija was established in 2000 when Dunja Vujić Podlipec, MPharm PhD opened the first office in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Clinres farmacija’s widely sought-after services were followed by inevitable growth in a number of clinical trials in the region of Southeastern Europe. In order to fully address all client requirements, the Clinical Research Department was moved in 2004 to new offices in Zagreb, Croatia by the active Director of Clinical Research, Romana Kajfež PhD – the founder’s daughter. Today, Romana Kajfež acts as the CEO in Zagreb and, with a background in the pharmaceutical industry spanning both science and marketing, provides strong leadership and valuable expertise for the growth of the company.

Under CEO Romana Kajfež’s leadership, sustained growth has led to regional expansion, with the first branch office opening in Belgrade, Serbia in 2007, followed by representative offices in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Skopje, North Macedonia in 2008.

Romana’s sister, Tanja Kajfež, PhD acts as the Regulatory and Scientific Affairs Manager (DRA and CT) and successfully manages regulatory affairs and business development of the company.

Collectively, the Kajfež family has already made a substantial contribution to pharmaceutical activities in the region, with Franjo Kajfež – Romana and Tanja’s father – being the author of numerous patents for the rationalization of benzodiazepine synthesis.

Our employees are:

  • Trained and certified according to ICH/GCP/GVP requirements.

  • Familiar with the health systems in their countries.
  • Up-to-date with the national laws and requests from regulatory agencies and ethics committees.
  • Up-to-date with the local social and political situations of the countries and understand the status and current climate of everyday life of investigators and the patient population in their countries.
